There are quite a few nice games in the top 200 free games this week:
1) Epoch - A dodge and shoot game that tells the story of a robot in the future. Pretty nice graphics, and you are basically a robot who is trying to retrieve your memory by going through your assigned mission.
2) Running with friends - Similar to the concept of temple run, you run and compete with friends! One thing I prefer this game over temple run is that you do not need to tilt the screen at all. Everything is just swiping away~
3) Injustice: God among us - A game that features lots of DC comics heroes/villains! It is supposed to be a card game, but I feel that it is more of a fighting game, since it involves simple swiping and tapping. Definitely worth trying, especially if you are a DC fan!

Updates for 9/4/13
I apologize for the lack of updates! Partly because they haven't really been much good apps that I have been downloading, and also due to my massive workload in school. So anyway, here's the update!
Games
1) Pixel People - Mix a gene with a second one! Ta-da~ form an entire city this way, building various buildings through the creation of different genes. It adopts the gameplay of collecting money between every period of time (depending on your buildings), and leveling up (through expansion of land) to mix more genes. The latest update took place around a week ago, and now, the game became slightly more complicated, but still worth trying out.
2) Blockheads - a sandbox game that some people might associate it with the famous "Minecraft". But to be honest, it's different, and you basically begin your game in a randomly generated world, and you do things like mining, building, chopping, hunting and so on. I haven't try this game ever since I dug my way to the centre of the world, and they have been 2 major updates since. But definitely a game I recommend, since I was once addicted to it for almost a month (non-stop playing, the only app I use). So.. yup. Recommended personally.
3) The World Hardest Game 2 - It reminds me highly of the game Bishi-Bashi, and it's fun and cute! Mini game that offers endless fun~ Perfect game for you if you only have a few mins of free time but still want to play some game on your iPhone.
4) Forever Lost - A typical "escape the room" game, just that it's much larger, and it allows you to take photo within the app so that you can "remember" all the information that you come across within the game to help you solve all the puzzles. Haven't completed it yet, but it's nice so far.
5) Walking Dead - Only the first episode is free, but it's still a fun game. One of the few games which actually tempted me to actually SPEND MONEY to buy the full game. And yup, it's about zombies.
6) Back to the future - Similar to Walking dead, only the first episode is free to play. And yup, it's about the same story from the famous series on TV, about time travelling.
7) Temple Run 2 - Not sure if I need to recommend this game, since so many people already play Temple Run before. A fun game, and an even better one than the previous version.
8) The Curse - For those who likes puzzle games, this is one game to have. With a creepy storyline of you accidentally freeing a "spirit" from a book, now you need to solve 100 different puzzles to "undo" what you did, or at least that's what the spirit told you (I am skeptical about this storyline). Offers a variety of puzzles, like make the shape, guess the word, split the balls, and so on. So, great for people who gets bored easily from a particular type of puzzle.
9) Crow - The first-of-its-kind game that I have came across. You play the role of a crow, flying around. Ok, it's not that kiddish. The storyline is quite dark, and for the first stage, you are supposed to fly around, gather some power, and curse the scarecrow which caused hardships for fellow crows. It's like a battle between light and darkness, and good graphics and background music. Worth trying!
10) Knight of Pen and Paper - A turn-based RPG that has very simplistic, pixelated graphics. Quite interesting, and you can control up to 5 heroes.
Utilities
1) AR Maps - Ever want to use your GPS to find your way around, but being quite bad at reading maps? Don't worry! AR map is here! This app make use of your iPhone camera and GPS, so instead of reading your GPS like how you will read a map normally, you can hold your phone up, and the app actually made shows you where exactly your destination is, as if you are holding on to a gun with auto-lock-on system on. Haha. Give this a try, it's fun and useful.
2) iSafePro - A useful app that allows you to store your files and password protect it! Useful for insecure people who just wants an additional protection for their files on their phone.
Camera
1) Manga Camera - Take a photo and convert it manga-style! It's as simple as that. Haha, quite fun! But from my experience, lighting is extremely important for your manga picture to look decent.

Updates for 15/07/12
1) Spectral Souls
A $13.99 game that is made available for free!!! But... only for the first three battles (but I guess it's good enough~)
2) 风行
For those who are familiar with Funshion... you will definitely be interested in this app, on your iPhone!!! For those who don't, this is an app that allows you to watch videos!
3) Spellsword
My latest addiction! Basically a simple platformer where you control a character, moving left and right, jumping around and slashing around with your sword. As the name of the game suggest, you get to collect different spell cards while you are facing waves of enemies, and... basically just complete missions along the way~ Simple yet challenging game that is easy to learn! =)

Update on 02/07/12
Haven't been downloading any useful apps recently, which kind of explains the lack of updates for the whole of June... (excuse :P) So anyway, here are some apps that is worth a try~
1) One Piece AR Carddass formation (world)
If you are a fan of One Piece, then this is a game that you can consider. It's basically a battle game where you use different characters to fight one another. The format of battle is actually the simple scissors paper stone though... so it can get a bit boring after a while~
2) Project 83113
An action platformer game, where you slide your fingers to control your character. Graphics is not bad, and you can switch between weapons. Worth playing~
3) Monsters ate my condo
It's a japanese game, and quite addictive too. You have a tower/condo made of tiles that dropped from the sky, and there are two monsters on each side of the tower. You just need to keep on feeding the monsters to keep them happy, while trying to match the colours of the condos at the same time to form combos and high scores. A nice game to burn your time if you have some spare time~
4) Robotek HD
A battle game where you control a robot, and requires a bit of strategy to win the game. The battle format is turn based, and do remember to finish each battle before quitting the app.

Updates for 16/05/12
Ok, very sorry that I haven't been updating this blog as often as I hoped. So anyway, this update will be longer to make up for the lack of updates for the past few weeks~
1) Death Rally
This is a racing/shooting game, and for those who have played games like Twisted Metal, it's somewhat similar, just that you view your vehicle from the top view. Basically, the controls are simple, a joystick on the left to control where your car goes (it will auto accelerate, so you just control the direction) while the joystick on the left controls your weapon. Definitely an app worth downloading if you like to drive and take down other cars at the same time~
2) 麻将- 明星三缺一 - 16张
For those who are into Mahjong, this is an app for it. The downside is... it plays the HK style, where there are 16 tiles instead of our usual 14. Nonetheless, it's still mahjong, and you can to play as different celebrities, against other players.
3) Juggernaut: Revenge of Sovering
An RPG game where you just enter battles and fight monsters as well as do some treasure hunting along the way. The battle is a turn-based format, and you get to buy different equipments along the way. Looks promising, and I am still level 4.. so I can't say whether there is more to this game~
4) Bar Oasis 1.5
An interesting game, where you play the role of a bartender (newbie) in this bar. There is a nice storyline that goes with the game, so basically you learn how to make several cocktails as you progress. Actions like pouring hard liquor and shaking the cocktail are necessary, so you might want to consider whether you want to play this game in public or in private. Lol. My knowledge on cocktails just increased by a bit... but I believe I will forget them pretty quickly after a while though. Lol.
5) Be a surgeon
Ok.. this game TOTALLY reminds me of the nintendo game, Trauma Centre, I played 5 years ago. But it's definitely lousier... with bad English and poorer storyline. So anyway, for those who never played Trauma centre before, this game is about an intern surgeon becoming a proper surgeon. To avoid spoilers, let's just say somewhere along the game, I think your 4th surgery or 5th surgery, you will learn something amazing about yourself, which makes this game more interesting .Yup, so basically, you are guided by your nurse in the first few surgeries, and basically just cut your patient open and stitch them back after you are done with treating their injuries or diseases. Worth trying if you never play such games before, but not worth trying if you like Trauma Centre (because it's better). But then again, this is a free app, so... yeah~
6) Fantasy X Runners
A nice game where your character just keeps on running forward, and you have two controls, jump and attack, and you basically avoid obstacles, kill monsters and attain loot. Quite fun, and when you unlock different heroes, you get to use different attacks~
7) Hatchi
For those who are at least 18 years old, you might recall that back then during your childhood, there's this game called Tamagochi which was very popular then. This is exactly it. A virtual pet, that allows you to feed, wash, and play with it. The thing to this is that there are different evolution forms that the pet can take, so there's replay value after you finish raising your first pet. You can release your pet into the forest after they are 7 days old, and then you can choose to rear a new pet from there.
OK~ I think updates for 7 gaming apps is enough.... But wait, I have another useful app to recommend!
8) Timercam
For those who love to take photos with your iPhone, especially group shots, this is a nice timer camera app to get. You can choose from 5 ,10 ,15 or 30 seconds timer, and even support front camera function! Also, if you turn on the volume, you can make it countdown at 3seconds, so you need not have your smiles frozen there while not knowing whether the photo has been captured. Haha.
Ok, hope you guys like this update~

Updates for 030412
Lack of updates due to busy schedule~ so I'm blogging on my phone now on the public transport to utilize my traveling time.. So here goes:
1) Blogger app
Lol, I should have recommended this app much earlier. It's the app that I'm using now, while typing this entry. So... Yeah, it's an useful app for blogspot bloggers, and allow easy posting of entries on your blog using ur smart phones. Recommended for bloggers with busy schedules(like me), who don't really have time to sit in front of the computer to blog.
2) Slap
A fun app meant for 2 players. And basically, each player takes turn to hit the other, while the other tries to dodge the attack. I remember I used to play similar games web I was in secondary school... And the good thing abt this app is that we are hitting each other virtually, so no pain at all! Haha. Download this app and give it a try, fun and laughter will be guaranteed. :)
