I was browsing through the iTunes store as usual, and came across a few apps that look interesting ad promising AND THEY ARE FREE (WERE FREE), so here goes:
1) The Sims Medieval and The Sims Freeplay
OMG, the Sims Medieval is FREE!!! And I'm pretty sure this is the full version too, instead of those "free trial version" where they only give you like 10% of the game content. I personally have not tried the game yet, but... come on, anything by The Sims can't go too wrong. =D
2) The Nightworld
I played through 3 stages last night, before I sleep. The graphics looks good, and basically you are this person living in this future, trying to go around stealing food. (Ok, that sounds stupid.. let me try again) Due to some reasons that are unknown to me, the future world is now covered in dark clouds (thus the name, Nightworld). Everyone is fighting to survive, and food is not readily available. Therefore, you play a character who goes around doing mission and earning $, and also getting food along the way. Also, you need to sneak past enemies (everyone else wants food too), or you can choose to take them down with your gun (can be bought) or sneak behind them and 1-hit KO them.
Worth trying this game out
3) Book of Heroes
I got hooked on to this game for the past 2 days. It's something like a point and click RPG game, and you can choose to be a warrior, mage or assassin. The game goes by energy progress, meaning you have this fixed amount of energy that will regenerate every 5mins or so, and then you do quests (that cost energy) to progress with the story. I am personally not someone who like to play games that have such restrictions (like having to stop playing simply because your character ran out of energy), BUT this game somehow just attracts me. So... yeah.. I will definitely recommend this game too~
4) Absolute instant
Ever watched people playing fighter plane games in the old school arcade machine? It's something like that. And the special thing about this game is that your plane can teleport. So, when the enemies' bullet forced you into an impossible-to-escape corner, ta-da~ teleport out of danger!
Fun. I'm now left with 1 stage to completion~
5) Crimson: Steam Pirates
Downloaded it since it says "free for a limited time", based on the screenshots in iTunes store, it looks promising. The game look interesting, where you control this pirate ship on a turn-by turn basis. I only tried the first stage, where you will navigate the ship and fire at hostile forces and try to save an engineer for the ship. Will definitely keep playing this game~
6) Space Miner
Free for a while too I think, and it's by the creators of Book of Heroes, so... I downloaded it first. Will update this once I have started playing.
